Install from Atlassian Marketplace
- Open the License Radar for Jira listing.
- Choose Try it free and select the Jira Cloud site to install.
- Review the requested permissions in Atlassian and approve the installation.
- Open License Radar from the site navigation as a Jira site administrator.
License Radar uses the authenticated Jira and Forge installation context. The current site is identified automatically; there is no separate organisation selector, API key field or service-account setup.
Why each permission is requested
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
read:jira-user | Read supported site users and the application-role information used to identify Jira access. |
read:jira-work | Read the bounded issue fields used for the observable activity signal: assignee, reporter, creator and update time. |
report:personal-data | Support Atlassian’s personal-data reporting workflow for account data held by the installation. |
storage:app | Store tenant-isolated configuration, scan results, review decisions and available reports in Forge Storage. |
The production app does not request write permissions for users, groups, products or Jira configuration. It does not request passwords, personal access tokens or OAuth secrets.
Administrator requirement
License Radar is intended for Jira site administrators. The app checks administrator permission on resolver calls as well as hiding the administration surfaces from other users. If the check fails, ask a Jira site administrator to open the app or review the installation permissions.
Verify the installation
After installation you should see the current Jira site, the read-only boundary and the option to run a first scan. If the site cannot be loaded, reload the Jira page and continue with Troubleshooting.
